Additional Information: We’ve started our annual program to collect gifts for our Peppertree students. How this works is that every year, during regular school sessions, we work with the students attending the Homework House. Students can receive points for little things such as routine attendance and regular accomplishments. However, they can also get exemplary points for completing extra credit activities or work. During our Christmas celebration at this ministry we award students with gifts based on the points they’ve accumulated over the course of the tutoring semester.
This has been an invaluable tool for teaching students about commitment, setting goals and achieving them as well as various biblical principles such as honoring those in authority, self-control etc.
