Mission Statement
Pouring Out Hope's mexico mission is to reach the poor and impoverished through life-giving community programs that can meet physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
When: Quarterly Trips to build homes. More frequent trips to deliver supplies and to scout new home recipients.
Purpose: Since 2003 Pouring Out Hope has made quarterly trips to Mexico to provide food, clothing and other necessities to the people of Northern Baja Mexico.
Starting in 2005 Pouring Out Hope (POH) began providing pre-fabricated "Loft Homes" to families. POH is connected with a variety of community leaders in the area of Meneadero Mexico. These community leaders are helping to identify families who need shelter and other basic necessities. POH then coordinates with these leaders and US based community service groups (such as Church groups, Corporate teams, youth organizations, boy scouts) to raise funds and build pre-fabricated loft homes for the families in need.
The result....a family generation of poverty changed and HOPE restored of a better life ahead!
The children will no longer sleep on the ground of a tarp home, they will be safe from the elements of rain, severe heat, wind and cold. Familes will have a safe and secure place to keep the possessions, free from theft.
Details of how to get involved: To participate in this mission experience its a two day commitment. The first day, spent here in the US, we Pre-Fabricate the homes into panels and load them on a 8'x16' trailer to be hauled to Mexico, usually about 4 weeks later.
The second day, which takes place several weeks later, is spent in Mexico putting the house panels the together while also meeting the family and of course presenting the new home to the excited family!
